Florida is one of those states that offers a lot of great scholarships to apply for. We have come across many states where it was challenging to find scholarships for but luckily Florida was not one of them. As stated above, we have done intensive research to locate the very best that Florida has to offer. You will find our finding below:

Central Florida Orchid Society Scholarship- The Central Florida Orchid Society is offering a $3,000 scholarship to students who are interested in majoring in horticulture or agriculture. However, it is interesting to note that if you are in a similar field to horticulture or agriculture you may still be eligible to apply for this grant. We have actually found a downloadable education form and if you visit the site we have listed here you can download that application and find the address of where you can submit it to.

Barnes Scholarship- If you live in Florida and are from Pinellas, Pasco, Hillsborough or Citrus counties then this scholarship may interest you. Each year the St. Petersburg Times sponsors two scholarship programs in journalism and academic achievement. The journalism scholarship can earn you up to $2,500 and is awarded on an annual basis. Meanwhile, the academic achievement can earn you up to $15,000 a year over the course of four years. The Barnes scholarship only accepts online applications and we have taken the liberty of locating where you need to apply. Bright Futures Scholarship- If you are looking for financial aid for college then this scholarship is a great one to apply for. This grant is all about academic achievement in high school. So, if your grades are good, you have done community service and you can show that you have a “bright future” then you should definitely sign up for this one. Once you visit the site we have listed you will be taken to a page that will allow you to fill out an application form and check on it’s status. There is one piece of information that we feel is important to add. You must apply for this grant before you graduate high school so you can have the best chance of winning.

Florida Student Assistance Grants- This is a state funded grant that is given out on a need based level. Thus, if you want to receive this grant you need to be able to show or prove that you actually are in need of it to actually attend college. The requirements to receive this grant are as follows: must be a U.S. citizen, not have received a baccalaureate degree, must enroll for a minimum of 12 hours in college, must meet Florida’s rules of eligibility to receive grants.
