Math Scholarships
Siemens Mathematics Scholarship- This is a merit based scholarship. In short, that means that it is based on your grades on SAT’s, ACT’s and overall GPA. It also takes things like extracurricular activities and volunteer work into account. The overall value of the scholarship can fall between $1,000 to $100,000. We will say that it is extremely rare to get a scholarship of $100,000. On average, you can expect to get $4,000 ($1,000 each year).
Intel Science Search- Yes, we know that technically this is classified as a science scholarship. However, we do want to say that generally students interested in mathematics tend to gravitate towards science scholarships so we decided to include this one. This is a pretty interesting scholarship. It is designed for undergraduates about to enter college for the first time aka high school seniors. It is a talent search in which the grand prize you can get is $100,000 and the rest of the prizes go down from there. This one is quite competitive but definitely worth applying for if you have the chance.
